Why we built AskRank
Every week we were opening ChatGPT and typing queries like "best AI writing tools" or "top paraphrasing apps" - then noting whether our products made the list. We did this across four different AI assistants, wrote the results in Notion, and compared with the previous week by eye.
It was slow, non-reproducible, and gave no competitor context. Enterprise tools that automate this start at $499/month. We could not justify that cost when the product was still finding its footing.
AskRank automates the entire loop: generate the right prompts, run them across four LLMs, detect your brand in the answers, show you the trend, alert you when something changes. All for what you might spend on two coffees a week.
