This Cookie Policy explains what cookies AskRank uses across askairank.com and the app.askairank.com dashboard, why, and how you can control them.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember information about your visit, such as your login session or preferences. We also use localStorage (a browser storage mechanism) to remember your cookie consent choice so we do not show you the banner on every visit.

2. Essential cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. You cannot opt out of them without opting out of the Service entirely.

sb-access-token - authentication session token (GoTrue). Session / 1 hour.
sb-refresh-token - refresh token for session renewal. 60 days.
askrank_active_brand - remembers which brand is selected in the dashboard. Session.

These cookies are set by us (first-party) and are httpOnly / Secure where applicable.

These cookies are only activated after you accept them via the cookie banner. They help us understand how the product is used so we can improve it.

PostHog (ph_*) - page views, feature usage, and session recording, self-hosted on our own EU server. No data is sent to PostHog cloud. 12 months.

Until you accept, PostHog runs in memory-only mode and no data is persisted or sent anywhere. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other advertising tracking.

Cookie banner

When you first visit AskRank, a cookie banner appears at the bottom of the page. You can accept or reject analytics cookies at that point. Your choice is saved in localStorage under the key askrank_cookie_consent.

To change your choice later, clear your browser's localStorage for askairank.com or clear all site data in your browser settings. The banner will reappear on your next visit.
